What kind of democracy do the countries of the Americas need? The People's Summit for Democracy will take place in Los Angeles (USA) from June 8-10 during the 9th Summit of the Americas, which will happen from the 6-10 of the same month.

 We want the voices of everyone in the hemisphere to be heard, which is why Mídia NINJA, along with the People’s Summit, is building a Collaborative Coverage of the People's Summit!

Unlike the event held by the OAS, in the People’s Summit, people are put before the interests of the market, international spaces are democratic and based on respect for the different countries of the continent, and collaboration and solidarity among peoples are the driving values. 

We want to tell people's stories through art, information and politics, imagining a possible new world based on democracy for all. We will also share information about the decisions made at the Summit of the Americas, hacking spaces of power.

Journalists, media activists and communicators can apply to produce and disseminate other narratives about the meeting.
