Convened by unionists, activists, grassroots organizations and progressive people across the Americas, The People’s Summit has been organized to ensure the voices of the poor and working people across the hemisphere are heard. Together, we will build our own future—one that puts people’s democracy first. Over 50 artists have come together to express our visions of that future and to build up our revolutionary consciousness through over than 100 different works.
The People’s Art Exhibition creates a space for new traditions of art by, and for the people. We believe that culture plays an important role not only in the consciousness of the people, but in the energy we bring to our struggles and movements along the way.
We hope that this exhibition generates many more projects that bring cultural workers together to fight for the people, building expressions of working class unity and developing political consciousness throughout the Americas and the entire world.
